Is every single girl in Manhattan alone?!

Walking on 23rd street at 6 ave, going to the grocery store, looking around, you see no one you know. Walking on Broadway at Spring street on your way to work, looking around, you see no one you know. And everywhere you walk, there are people, but you don't know them.

But if you're looking a little bit closer at that girl walking next to you at Broadway and Spring, you know of all the people out there, that this single girl is thinking exactly the same as you... 'Am I alone in this city?!?'

And yes, you are alone... No one to help you anywhere, no one to show you anywhere.. It is you, and all the others. And that is the reason why we live in Manhattan. To be alone. Not to hang out with everyone all the time, not to do what everyone else are doing, not to adjust to the boyfriend as you used to, not to make sure the boyfriend do what he wants to do, before you make a decision of what you want to do.

Remember you're a Manhattan girl now -You're only here to do exactly what you want to do..

Never forget why you came here in the first place, even if you sometimes feel lost and alone, You came here to be yourself.

But it can be though. We do have enough bitchy girls that would love to eat you alive if you're shy. You just have to be you, and never forget that the most important relationship you have, is the relationship you have to yourself. You're the one that have to live with yourself...

Why you don't go out on weekends!!!

Is the weekend the days you go out partying, or are the weekends the days you rest?!? 

To some, weekends are definitely for partying. Those are the kind of people that are super happy Friday afternoon, counting hours before they can start drinking. Just waiting to get together with the mates and get a table with all the alcohol you can imagine for one night.. Those are the kind of people that are drunk all weekend, giving away your two days off to be hangover.. But it makes them happy, because the men had 10 girls drinking from their table. And the girls are sooo happy these cool 'weekend men' are willing to give them free alcohol...  The guys are so happy and are 'in weekend heaven', that they don't realize that the girls are going home, alone, without them...  But they think they are the world, dressed in suits, slick hair and attitude from another planet, and the girls in their pink small stretch dresses with shoes that were outdated in 2005! They think that this weekend will be sooo good.. And it probably will be, because they are so drunk in the nights and were hangover during the days off...  In their eyes, that is a successful weekend...

But come on, who is really enjoying these rednecks boys who thinks they are kings on a Friday and Saturday night... uuughh You're better off than partying with cheesy 'men' and girls like this. 

Also, why be hangover on a day off when you can be hangover at work?!?!? No, A really good weekend is a weekend when you're staying in on Friday night, getting back the sleep you lost the past week. Wake up early Saturday morning, fully rested and having a fantastic breakfast with your roommates, pancakes (whole grain) with banana and orange juice. Spend the day cleaning and your room and putting back all the clothes you've been using through the busy party week. Then walking around in central park, looking and dreaming about the sporty hot guy running by, you smiling at you, because you look fresh, and not super hangover... THAT is a good start on a weekend, and how it should continue. And let the weekdays be the party days, and the weekend days you're relaxing. 

Never let the alcohol take over your life in weekends, that is when you're not a Manhattan girl anymore! :P

Sex, drugs, rock and roll - in 2009!

Are things still all the same, as it used to be?!!? Or has is really changed?? Well, what's for sure is that we definitely still can see the leather pants flowing around..

Going to a Tommy Hilfiger store, their concept store, you actually don't expect to se men in leather pants in 2009. But last night, you did! The Ramones drummer, Marky Ramone with his band was having a hard core rock-style concert. It was rock'in! Also Tommy Hilfigers collection is definitely not touching light blue, nor romantic pretty pink. The theme of the collection is definitely rock till you drop, and then drop far! It's actually very nice, and I'm sure the daughter Ally of Tommy himself had a word to say to this collection.  The looks on the people there were not dressed as going to a ball, but wearing tight jeans, big white t-shirts and heavy thick bangs, but most of them- the 2009 version...

But what is it that determinate that you're a rocker or not anymore?!? Is it the clothes, or the amount of sex, drugs and rock & roll experiences you've got?!?! Well, in my opinion, the people that have the rights to call them real rockers in 2009 are still the ones that are walking around in leather pants, still does drugs, have sex with crazy girls and only listen to rock music!!

Is the city all about alcohol?!??

Going out in New York is not about drinking... It's about how you look, act, talk and walk.  

Look, why is it all about the look?!? Well, that is how you first get into the club. Are you good looking - check, do you have the right shoes - check, are you skinny enough - check- I think!?!??! And then the list just continues.. But I suppose it's a good thing, cause you do want to find a good look'in one there, right?!?

Act, you need to act like you're someone. If not, you're no-one! So if you want to get into hot spots, you should definitely know phrases like; "I'm from Top Ten Magazine from Scandinavia", and if you bring a blond friend, you'll definitely get in....! And when you're in, make sure you think you're someone, if not, you're not interesting! 

But it is allot of fun... A perfect day, like yesterday, you go to an event some time after work. This is usually a store opening or an early event, saying thank you for letting me fool you to buy over expensive watches. It's dinner time, eat the cute little hamburgers or small bites of chicken on a stick, that you kindly and nicely dip in the dipping sauce, to get the extra flavor. But make sure you don't get to much sauce- you don't want to get fat! With the food you drink a couple of glasses of wine, while you mingle and talk about very interesting things to a person or two that you'll never gonne see again... 

After filling your body with energy- eating and drinking, you go further down to the next event, an art show. Just make sure when you walk in that door that you DO actually look different, and DO talk in a weird way. The more you stand out, is what determinate how well you fit in an art show. Though who really cares, there is free alcohol!!!  So you mingle for a while, again, and talk about this amazing art you don't get at all, but never underestimate the word - 'amazing'. It can get you FAR! 

When you feel that you're getting closer to the art, and actually do think it is starting to look 'amazing', that is when it is time to head for the next party. Which is usually when the time is closer to midnight, and the club has just opened! 

And here is where the first part get in... Make sure you are a great mix from the first event, and also have some free spirit feel'in from the art show! THAT is when you get into the club easily... (ps, don't forget the part by being skinny, pretty, wearing the right things, drunk enough, go with the right people)

And here is where the party goes on till early morning hours!!! Either the drinks are free the first hour or two, or you definitely hook up with someone that makes the drinks free for you.

Drink up, and enjoy... Be careful, don't talk to long to hot guys, they're really just good for one thing, hook ups! And the bambis, make sure you don't touch them, they might fall over, and we don't want any broken bones! They need them on the catwalk!
